 The following is an extension of the paper "Quantum Consciousness Experiment", where the total number of trials is extended from 2500 to 3500.  The set-up is unchanged.

1. The results

Total number of trials . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . N = 3500
No. shocks received in the first part . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NS = 1753
 No. times the L-light went on in the second part . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . NL = 1754
Increase difference NLNS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . u = 866
Decrease difference NLNS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . d = 865
Unchanged NLNS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . e = 1769

   Let p0 = NL/N and q0 = 1 – p0, then

p0 = 1754/3500 = 0.5011          q0 = 0.4988
The null hypothesis puts p = p0q0, q = q0p0, and r = p02 + q02.
giving                                          p = 0.2500         q = 0.2500        r = 0.5000

Our non-null hypothesis is that u - d is significantly different from zero.  From the data, u - d = NLNS = 1, which is considerably within the above statndard deviation around zero.  The separate variables u and d are also within the standard deviation s(u) = s(d) = [p(q + r)N]1/2 = 25.6 of their expected value of 875; so again, our hypothesis is not confirmed.

The horizontal bars in the figure give the value of s(ud) = {N/2}1/2.

The most probable outcome after 2500 trials is P(875, 875, 1750).  Therefore

which again shows that there is no significant difference between our outcome and the most probable outcome.
