Huaning Zhang Graduate Student B.S. BeiJing University (2001)

Ms. Zhang is studying the reaction of MenB, the dihydroxynapthoyl-CoA synthase from Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Her current efforts are focused on mechanistic studies of the MenB reaction and a comparison of MenB with the homologous crotonase family member BadI, which catalyzes a ring opening reaction.
