2 Research interests
My research interests focus on structure-property relationships in imperfectly structured systems,
ranging from synthetic polymers or soft matter in general over biological systems to
inorganic materials and composites. My primary research tool is x-ray scattering (including
synchrotron x-ray scattering) with strong emphasis on small-angle x-ray scattering (saxs).
Furthermore, I have some interest and corresponding background in electron microscopy, light
scattering as well as in rheology, in all cases with strong emphasis on analytical data
evaluation.
