Research Interests My research entails the coupling of Ion Pair Imaging Spectroscopy (IPIS) with our new high-resolution direct current (DC) slice imaging technique for the determination of vibrational and, in favorable cases, rotational frequencies for varying ionic species. Specifically, I intend to collect gas phase experimental data on systems that contain two and three carbons as well as from various Van der Waals precursors, like HCl-CH4, that will yield insight to important systems such as CH5+. These results will be used as a foundation in the understanding of how transient species act/react, which is relevant to various fields of chemistry. |
