* Gene Robertson kindly provided the information about the label
Note 1. Split coupling. Reverse: COQUETTE, Dorsey Bros Orchestra.
Note 2. Split coupling. Reverse: MAMA’S GONE YOUNG, PAPA’S GONE OLD, The Goofus Five And Their Orchestra.
Note 3. Split coupling. Reverse: I FEEL AT HOME WITH YOU, Irwin Abrams Orchestra.
Note 4. Split coupling. Reverse: SLEEPY VALLEY (Waltz), Justin Ring’s OKeh Orchestra.
Note 5. Split coupling. Reverse: LADY DIVINE (Waltz), Carolina Club Orchestra.
Note 6. Split coupling (?). Reverse: REACHIN’ FOR SOMEONE, Trumbauer Orch. sans Bix. This label credit is taken from the badge of the 1999 Tribute to Bix at Libertyville. IL., which, though computer-edited must (surely) have retained the original band credit.  I think this is the rarest Bix Parlophone.
Note 7. Split coupling. Reverse: SHIVERY STOMP, Seger Ellis. This is the only Bix side that ever appeared in the important Parlophone ‘New Rhythm Style Series’. There was, in fact, little need for any others, as the majority of the ‘original issues’ in the list above were still available at the time under their original catalogue numbers. I LIKE THAT is No.39 in the series. The Ellis side was No.40.

No claim for ubiquity, absolute correctness &c is made for this listing. It’s purely something that was done for the heck of it, prompted by a discussion in the forum of the Bix website. Thanks to Mike Thomas who helped me with several very rare entries, including the THOU SWELL original issue which I didn’t even know existed until I began this listing, and the only one that credits THE GANG! Nobody can say that other printings of these labels on earlier or later pressings, be they purple, black, magenta (or green) do not carry other wordings. The typesetting on these earlier Parlophone labels is pretty idiosyncratic, and for all their ‘luxury’ as issues, there is a certain amateurishness about the way the information is laid out, besides their rather smudgy printing that would never have been tolerated by OKeh, let alone Victor! But that is all part of their appeal, and when (or rather if) your trembling hand draws a ‘junked’ mint purple Parlophone of Bix from the characteristic blue packet in which it has lain for seventy-two years, you better believe me, the wording on the label WON’T MATTER A DARN!!

I am grateful to Norman Field for giving me permission to post this list in the Bixography web site.
